The Great Coleraine Build, brought to you by Coleraine Connect, will transform October into a month of brick-themed family fun, with incredible models appearing in town-centre windows, hands-on building sessions, a huge National Brick Events weekend and free screenings of The LEGO Movie.

Follow the Brick Fairytales Trail

Throughout October, keep your eyes on the windows of businesses across Coleraine town centre as 13 incredible brick-built fairytale models appear as part of our Brick Fairytales Trail.

Families can follow the trail, discover all 13 models and take part in our QR code anagram competition along the way.

It's completely free and a great opportunity to explore Coleraine, visit our fantastic local businesses and see if you can complete the entire trail.

And once you've found all the models, the brick-building fun is only getting started...

Bricks4Kidz Big Family Build - Saturday, October 3

The building gets underway in style on Saturday, October 3, when Bricks4Kidz NI comes to Coleraine Town Hall for a brilliant day of hands-on LEGO-inspired family fun.

Children can get creative with Duplo, giant bricks and standard LEGO, tackle structured 2D and 3D building challenges and let their imaginations run wild.

For older builders aged seven and over, there's also a special LEGO Technic Masterclass, using gears, axles, motors and Technic pieces to create moving mechanical models.

We're also delighted to offer a dedicated SEN session at 10am.

National Brick Events Comes to Coleraine – October 17 & 18

The Great Coleraine Build steps up another level on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, when National Brick Events arrives in Coleraine for an incredible weekend for brick fans of all ages.

Following a site visit to Coleraine, the National Brick Events team loved the town so much that their response was simple: “LET'S GO BIGGER!”

The event has now expanded across three venues, creating even more room for amazing brick-built displays, talented builders and exhibitors, interactive activities, building zones and plenty of hands-on fun.

It's also a weekend of firsts -  National Brick Events' first-ever event in Northern Ireland AND their first-ever two-day event.

Whether you have a serious LEGO enthusiast in the family or simply fancy a brilliant family day out, there'll be something for everyone to discover.

Thousands of visitors are expected over the weekend, and tickets are available in timed-entry sessions, so early booking is strongly recommended, particularly if you have a preferred day or time.

A first for Coleraine, a first for Northern Ireland and a first for National Brick Events -  we can't wait to welcome everyone!

And to Round Off The Great Coleraine Build… The LEGO Movie!

After a month of building, discovering and exploring, we're rounding off The Great Coleraine Build with two FREE screenings of The LEGO Movie at Coleraine Town Hall on Saturday, October 24.

Follow the adventures of Emmet, an ordinary LEGO construction worker who is mistakenly identified as the extraordinary “Special” – the Master Builder destined to save the LEGO universe!

Expect plenty of laughs, adventure and colourful characters in this hugely popular animated family comedy.

Showings at 11.30am and 2pm.

Admission is completely FREE, but tickets are required for entry, and places will be limited, so make sure you book yours in advance.
