On Saturday, August 15th, from 1pm to 3pm, Coleraine Connect is bringing the prehistoric world to life with Jurassic Dino Day - and best of all, it's completely FREE to attend.

The stars of the show are sure to leave visitors amazed. Meet everyone's favourite dinosaur Blu, the incredible 15ft-long Velociraptor, who roars, blinks, stomps and prowls through the streets looking for his next adventure. 

Alongside Blu is the truly gigantic Gorm, an awe-inspiring 25ft-long Triceratops whose sheer size has to be seen to be believed!

As if that wasn't enough, keep your eyes peeled for eight adorable baby dinosaurs who will be meeting families throughout the town centre. 

Young explorers can also discover fascinating prehistoric facts inside the Fossil Museum, while little ones can transform into their favourite dinosaur with the help of our talented face painters, located at the front and back of the Town Hall.

The fun doesn't stop there! Q Radio will be broadcasting live from Coleraine with the Q Radio Roadshow, bringing fantastic music, entertainment and plenty of excitement throughout the afternoon.

There will also be some incredible giveaways from our wonderful local businesses, including the chance to win a £250 voucher towards a new holiday booking with JF Travel.

Adding to the fantastic atmosphere, local favourite Jamie Sloan will be performing live outside The Pear Tree, providing the perfect soundtrack as you enjoy everything the town has to offer.

Itsy Bitsy Wonderland is kicking things off with a Dinosaur Breakfast & Messy Play Morning from 10am–12pm (this is a paid event and booking is required), complete with a dinosaur-themed breakfast, messy play, and two hours in the Playtown.

Waterstones will host a Dinosaur Story Time at 12.30pm, while Snappy Snaps will have a fun Jurassic Selfie Station for all the family.

Regatta is inviting young dinosaur fans upstairs to its Colouring Station, and Whoosh will be serving children's meals in dinosaur-themed boxes, with every children's meal including a FREE Jurassic Explorer Pack while stocks last.

With dinosaurs roaming the streets, live entertainment, fantastic giveaways and plenty happening in the local businesses, there's never been a better time to enjoy a family day out in Coleraine.
