Hugh Crowds for Coleraine’s K-Pop Demon Hunter Day

Coleraine town centre was packed with music, dancing and plenty of glitter on Bank Holiday Monday as the town hosted its K-pop Demon Hunter Day, attracting families and young fans from across the area and further beyond.

The event brought a fun-filled atmosphere to the town centre, with children arriving dressed as their favourite K-pop characters, singing along and dancing to Demon Hunter favourites - Golden, Soda Pop and Take Down.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was the chance for children to meet the Rumi, Zoe and Mira performers in person. The meet and greet proved hugely popular, with queues forming as fans waited for photos with an endless sprinkling of glitter and Rumi clips.

The live K-pop performances from Loc-Down Events kept the energy going throughout the afternoon, while MC Mark Connolly from Beatz Entertainment kept the crowd engaged.

Families also made the most of the entertainment from Kate and Tina of BM Promotions, whose facepainting and balloon modelling added another layer of fun for younger visitors.

The event also gained significant attention online. At one stage, more than 1.2k viewers were watching the event live on TikTok, with clips and livestreams from the day quickly circulating across social media.

The event was supported by the Coleraine Connect hype team of Emma Rainey, Linda Goldie and Karen Baird, who helped keep the atmosphere upbeat throughout.

Singer Jamie Sloan entertained on Kingsgate Street with his performance proving particularly popular among visitors who may not have been as familiar with K-pop. His set added another element to the day and helped create an atmosphere that appealed to a wider audience across the town centre.

Another top attraction was North Coast Alpacas, which once again proved a hit with visitors of all ages. Visitors and locals alike gathered for photos and to feed the alpacas, adding to the relaxed and family-friendly feel of the event.

A special thank you goes to the talented K-pop performers from Loc-Down Events, Mark Connolly from Beatz Entertainment, Kate and Tina from BM Promotions, singer Jamie Sloan, and the Coleraine Connect hype team of Emma Rainey, Linda Goldie and Karen Baird.

Most of all, thank you to the children and parents who turned up, danced, sang, and made it a fantastic day from start to finish.
