The new club is hosted by well-known broadcaster and book enthusiast Denise Watson, formerly of BBC Sport NI and U105 and currently working with talkSPORT.

Bringing together Denise’s love of books and broadcasting, the club celebrates stories that have made the journey from page to screen, with special screenings followed by relaxed and informal discussion.

The next Book to Movie Club will feature the brand-new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility on October 8, followed by Colleen Hoover’s Verity on October 22.

Each event offers a full evening out, with tickets including snacks and drinks, the film screening, a book swap and a post-film discussion led by Denise.

Denise said: “There’s something really special about seeing a book you’ve loved brought to life on the big screen. Sometimes the adaptation gets it exactly right, sometimes it takes a few liberties - and that’s what makes it so much fun to discuss!

“The Book to Movie Club is a chance to enjoy a great film, meet other readers and share your thoughts in a relaxed and friendly setting.”

With every seat at Movie House now a luxury recliner, audiences can settle back and enjoy the film in comfort before joining the conversation afterwards.

Whether you’ve read the book from cover to cover, are discovering the story for the first time or simply love a great film adaptation, everyone is welcome.

Read it. Watch it. Discuss it.
